The final exam will consist of two essay questions, asking you to compare works and ideas from the course. It will be comprehensive. We will review for the exam on Monday, 12/9. Prepare the following course map (.doc below) before coming to class on that day.
Choose two. For each question, write a brief argument with a thesis and specific evidence from the texts. The exam will be closed book, so I will not expect you to provide quotations. Bring paper!
Keep in mind that I am asking you to draw conclusions and to make connections. Your answer should make a claim about similarity or difference (and not just state that the texts are similar and different). There is good advice about how to approach these types of questions at the Purdue OWL website.
