Well, the final journal... I'll start off by saying that I have greatly enjoyed this class overall. I absolutely loved the open, discussion-based environment. It has always felt very open and I always felt quite comfortable to share my thoughts when I felt that they were insightful. When we sat in the circle, it put us all on the same level and we felt like more of a group, which I loved. Content-wise, I immensely enjoyed being able to compare literature from different cultures and see how similar they were. Some of these surprised me at times and opened my eyes to even a bit more of the background of my personal Christian faith. Although I am not taking 202 next semester, I look forward to taking it my sophomore year. I said at the beginning of the year that Greek literature has always fascinated me... Well Medieval literature has always fascinated me even more (maybe it was my obsession with Lord of the Rings and similar stories). I can tell that I will greatly enjoy the rest of the humanities sequence. Thank you for making this class enjoyable. There was always enough variety that I felt that I was continually learning. I hope that I am able to have you as a professor again in the near future!
