During the semester you should attend two cultural events on campus and write a report or critique of each. The events need not be directly related to the content of the course. You can attend a live concert, a film, a theatrical performance, a lecture or panel discussion, or an art exhibit. If you have questions about whether a particular event will count, just check with me.
The report should be about 600 words or so and should include your thoughtful response or critique. You should identify the event (who, what, when, where), but you should not merely write a summary. You may make connections to course material if you notice any, but you are not required to do so since such connections might be a stretch for many events.
Post your reports to the wiki so that they can be shared. You can post photos or links if relevant.
